My '02 MC has a 6 disc CD changer. I am thinking about removing it and installing it in my new '05 MCSa. The changer was installed at the dealer as a dealer installed option. Is the wiring harness for the Cd Changer installed in every Mini? In other words can I unscrew the mounting bracket etc. and reinstall in the next car and just plug it in? As you can guess the new one is on order and 2 months away!

If I elect to install an IPOD - can I have the changer and the IPOD. DO not own an IPOD yet - but have been thinking about it.

I have an XM Skifi2 in my current Mini and I am contemplating installing XM in my new Mini. I have read some posts about controlling XM from the multifuncion wheel. I cannot do anyting other than volume with my current setup. What is my best option for installing XM in the new Mini and what does it prevent me from doing in terms of IPOD or CD changer? Should I consider a new radio with Xm capability???
