Navigation & Audio How does the aux. input option work?
How does the aux. input option work?
I bought a used 2004 MCs that has the auxiliary jack option. Its operation is not entirely described in the Mini manual or the radio manual. I know how to access AUX on the radio, but when I tried to put male/male stereo jacks into it on one side and my mp3 player on the other it didn't work.
I have an AUX input in my 05' It is installed in the glove.
I bought a male to mal stereo 1/8" plug. One end into the input, the other to my ipod.
I switch the stereo to AUX on the stereo and presto!
A few things you may want to make sure of (and in no way am I trying to insult you, just covering the bases with a few of these)
1. Make sure the volume on your mp3 player is all the way up.
2. Try cranking up the AUX level, this is in the settings for base treble and so on.
3. You may need to pull the head unit to make sure that the connection to the back has not come loose.
If you have tried all of these then it is time for a visit to the dealership.
