Hi all,
My iphone 8 and wifes 12 pro connected through a cable worked fine to play music. Now an upgrade to the 15 pro and her phone will charge but will not play music, pod casts etc. We are using the same cords and now an APPLE brand adapter for lightening to usb c.

Her iphone 15pro DOES work when connected to car play in my VW GTI through the cord.

Thoughts?

This is a non bluetooth car bought new. It has always played our various phones through the years but not this one.

 

Are you using the official Apple adapter? (Asking because there are some knock offs sold on Amazon that are cheaper and might not work as expected.) Does 15 Pro work in GTI connected through the same adapter? Is it possible to try direct USB to USB-C cable instead of USB to Lightning + Adapter?
