I have a 2015 R58. The original nav database allowed for searching using a US Zip Code rather than entering the city name. Using zip code is more accurate because in large cities there may be a street with the same name as one in suburb. Address given may just say the main city name and not the suburb name. The zip code solves that problem.

I updated the maps with the latest for my vehicle for 2021. I can't search using zip code now. When I select "number" on the dial I am only given the chance to enter one digit. Then the database returns some street not even in the selected state. I sent an email to Bimmeramerica asking whats up. They don't have any details on changes made for the new updates. All they could tell me was they must have deleted the zip code field to save memory space.

Anyone else updated their maps from the original and find zip codes are no longer searchable?

My current work around is to load a Zip Code app on my phone. I search the zip code on the app to get the actual city name.
