Recommendations for R53 Head Unit

Hi guys,

I picked up a 2004 Cooper S recently and I would like to upgrade the stereo head unit from stock to something a little more modern looking/bluetooth friendly. Can someone make a recommendation for a head unit that matches well with the interior lights? I searched the forum, but most of the posts revolve around DIY installations rather than just head units that fit nicely and don't look out of place. I know the units are not hard to install, but I have access to virtually zero tools and quite honestly just do not have the time or desire to install the unit myself, so I will be having someone else do it. So, I am really just looking for recommendations. Thank you in advance!

I have a Pioneer headunit and not defacing the look was one of my concern. Doesn't look too bad, BUT, sadly my model is kinda old and not supported by my ASWC-1, so I need to replace the radio for one that can be wired to retain the steering wheels controls. So if you want to retain your steering controls, I'd also check for a headunit that is compatible with the ASWC-1 or whatever the other module is called.

I kept the stock head unit in my 2002 R53 and added a $60 bluetooth interface. Works great.

I purchased an Amazon Alexa Auto for my factory head unit and it works amazingly well for music or phone calls
