Hey everyone. A quick question.. I am picking up my 05 MCS tomorrow morning but I was wondering why when the H/K system is advertised it says 8 speakers? Everyone says it only has 6. Just because a speaker has dual voice coils doesn't mean it counts as 2 speakers. A 6x9 with dual voice coils can't reproduce the same frequency as 1 6x9 and 1 tweeter. I only test drove 1 hard top mcs. The other 4 were the mcsc which was a blast to drive. I always thought that there were 2 in the rear seat and 2 in the rear hatch below the rear wiper motor. But I read on here that there was only 6 speakers total. Just curious. I'll talk to my MA tomorrow and find out what he says too.

 

In the front doors, the "tweeter" is actually 2 speakers, a midrange and a tweeter (though given the sizes maybe tweeter and supertweeter are more appropriate). At any rate, there are 2 cones in there.
