I have a 2015 F56 with the 6.5 inch screen. I'm wondering if there is a way to upgrade the system to the newer one found in the newer cars. Would it be able to be done via coding, or a flash, or would it require a new head unit?

A little bit of everything you just said. Flashing, coding, and new headunit are part of the process. PM me and I'll tell you your options and the process

I have a similar question. I just purchase a 2020 Mini S 2 door hardtop, they did not have a single unit left that had NAV, Wifi or the bigger screen. So all I could get was one with comfort entry and the Harmon Karmen and Sirius... that is it. What do I need to bring this up to a NAV with an 8.8 and maybe if possible Wifi?

I did read the long thread where it is discussed at length but to be honest way too much information, I gather I need an 8.8 screen and maybe a cable or not, a head unit that has NAV what about wifi and if so which head unit do I need to purchase. I also understand from the thread it needs to be coded. Did some of that in my M2...

thanks in advance

is there any tutorial to code a headunit?

i have a 2017 f57s my mini comes with 6.5 screen although i want to retrofit a newer 8.8 touchscreen with carplay and navigation, fo what I've been reading is doable but the headunit has to be flashed/coded to read my car’s VIN number and i guess also to get the correct graphics/manual for my car...

the unit i found online is a used NBT evo with HW 4.1 any suggestions
