Speakers phased from factory?

Hello all! First post here.

I purchased an R56 earlier this year (F56 just didn't do it for me), and I love the car but the stereo is horrible (non Hi-Fi). I'm playing around with some options, but while doing so, I noticed that the Right and Left channels appear to be backwards in the car. Additionally, according to my FH-168 from Amazon, the factory speakers are all out of phase. The car was obviously used, but it was a low mile lease and shows no signs of modification. I find it really hard to believe that it could be backwards from the factory.

Has anyone else run into this?

Disclaimer, I was getting the test audio via cell phone through Bluetooth to AUX.

As long as all speakers have consistent phase, it doesn't matter. What you don't want is a speaker out of phase with the others.

The previous owner has probably tried to do the 'channel swap' to improve the sound. Plenty threads if you google that. This mod leaves everything back to front. The connector concerned is in left side of the drivers footwell on LHD drive cars.
