I have been on a quest for the last two months to get HK A-pillars for my 2014 Mini Cooper S Hardtop 2-door. The driver's side came with no issue, however the passenger side is another story.

It turns out through ordering on ECS and my local dealer, that BMW is repackaging some other A-pillar in the right part packaging. The correct part number for the passenger side is 51437406020, and this is the number on the packaging. Inside the packaging the A-pillar provided is white plastic instead of black and has a part number of 51437406012. I tried to fit this A-pillar but it is not the right shape.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where I might be able to get the correct part number?

 

Realoem.com has the part numbers, but are you saying BMW is mispackaging?

 

Thanks for letting me know, 51437406020 is the right side part. Do you have pics, I can talk to MINI directly and have them fixed. They had some part mix-ups in the past which I helped fix in Germany Depo and in the US depo also.

You can see the plastic is black and the part that goes down by where the door opens by the weather stripping is a different shape than the one below. This is the prior part # 51434825022.

The part # is correct on the packaging, but the physical part number is 51437406012. Notice the plastic is white and the top left of the third picture is different than the other.

I did want to say ECS has been awesome on returns and has really been trying to get me the right part as quick as they can. Even the dealer received the wrong part.
