I have a 2015 S with the Harman/kardon premium sound w/o the Nav. My hearing isn't all that great so can someone please tell me your treble and bass setting? I'm not asking on how to set it, I need to see where you set the treble and bass. Thanks

 

Slight uptick to base, middle for treble

 

You may find that you can hear better by moving the faders (balance) more to the front of the car.

That could change the tone, so you would then need to add more bass.

Bass is hard to focus on, and the modern way of delivering bass is not going to help, they like to hide the speakers, making bass, which tends to seem directionless, come out blurry and from everywhere.

There's a company called Kef that were famous at one time for selling concentric speakers, much like most car speakers used to be, where the tweeter was mounted in the middle of the woofer. You should see if you can find a pair to listen to, any high-end audio store that sells used equipment is likely to have a pair. If you compare that to a system where there are two small speakers and one subwoofer that is designed to be hidden away, and it makes a difference to clarity and definition, it may help you understand the nature of your experience.
