R57/ BMRC-01 Backup Sensor Issue
Hey there guys,
I recently installed a CarPlay double DIN header unit in my 2011 Mini Cooper S Convertible. Although it required taking the entire dashboard to pieces and then putting it back together, the install actually went pretty smoothly and it looks and sounds great.
HOWEVER... When I back my car up, the BMRC-01 unit works perfectly, giving me the chimes to tell me how close I am right until it gets to the "you are very close" continuous beep. Once that happens, it's game over. The noise remains on no matter if I pull away from the obstacle, and will remain on even if I turn the car off, all the way, including powering off the radio. The only thing that will stop the noise is to pull the fuse to the unit and allow it to reset.
Any thoughts on where to even start with that?
