There's a microphone in our MINI R53 in the top console with the sunroof controls, what is it for if you don't have bluetooth in your stock, standard boost radio?

 

Can you post a picture? I believe, if you don't have that option in the car, it's just the mic cover. Does it look like this?

Its for the factory bluetooth add on. There is no microphone under it unless you have that retrofit kits seen below. Otherwise its a dummy cover.
