Cortana in the MINI

I know I am in the minority, using windows phone (which is odd since it's worlds better than android and iphone). But if you are like me and was wondering. The new system allows Cortana to be started by long pressing the voice command button over Bluetooth! Love that! I noticed it wasn't using Cortana as a voice call anymore, so I figured I would try and it activated.

Yeah! Fellow MINI and Windows Phone user! I love Cortana in my MINI Cooper. Text notification is awesome, but I do wish there was a bit more integration possibilities like send to Nav system, etc...

MINI journeymate app will send trips to your NAVI so you can set up a location then when you get to you car and plug it in you're ready to go. I found it's easier to input address that way instead of using the car.

I'm using a iPhone, forgot to mention that. Not sure if it's for windows phones.

update: doesn't seem to work with the MINI Radio, with Standard Bluetooth :/

I've moved the Kinivo from my old royal gray '06 MCS into my new 2015 red 4 door (pics coming soon!), and its been working well... just have to figure out the right way to jockey inputs.

windows phone compatiblity

I hope I am not hijacking a thread, but I am happy to find a group of mini / windows phone users. My nokia lumia 521 is not compatible with the base infotainment system for Bluetooth. The dealer got it to work, but the contacts keep disappearing, and other problems. Its time for a new phone anyway. I see that the nokia lumia 635 is compatible. Does anyone know if the nokia lumia 900 or 1020 are compatible? I went to the mini connected location on the mini website, and the compatibility list does not function on my computer. My dealer sent me a pdf of one page off the website of compatible phones, and it shows the 635, among some other phones. I am interested in the 900 and 1020 if they are compatible.
