Subwoofer with Rear Seat Delete?
I'm about to install the Integral Audio Subwoofer in my R56. I also have a rear seat delete kit that I haven't installed and I'm wondering if I should? I haven't found any pictures of what it might look like, if there is a considerable lip formed from the level of the sub to the platform of the seat delete. Pics I've seen look like with the seatbacks down, the sub and the seatbacks are pretty level. I am just looking for a level surface back there for hauling stuff, bags and bike wheels. I wouldn't think there would be any effect on sound? Thanks!
If your goal is a completely flat, smooth load floor then your best bet will be to NOT install the Rear Seat Delete. As you've seen in the pictures, the R56 false floor that covers the sub lines up perfectly with the folded-down rear seats.
If you do install the Rear Seat Delete, you'll want to only use single-height floor supports front and rear (see the installation instructions). You'll want to address the gap between the false floor and the cross-member - it's about 2 inches or so. Our false floor for the GP2 and R58/R59 handle this with an angled tab on the front edge. It has a living hinge formed from the carpet. This image shows the GP2 floor (gray, bottom) with the regular R56 floor (transparent, top) overlaid on it. You can see the tab on the front. You could fabricate something similar. I'd be happy to swap your false floor out for a GP2 floor, but note that the quarter panel trim differs a bit in the GP2, so there would be a small gap (the transparent part that sticks out).
