mini connected upgrade help PLEASE

Trying to update my mini connect on my jcw.I looked and i have the older version.So i searched through NM and found the latest software.But when i download the file on my mac then plug usb into car it just says...usb not connected or found.I unzipped file then i open the folder and there is 4 more .bin files?. And to top it of im not the best with computers.Any help would be great.cheers

I updated mine recently, and I also use a Mac. Is the USB drive formatted for Mac? Probably not, but you could try another one to check (I think it can be NTFS or FAT32 formats, but not sure). Also, use a smaller capacity (32Gb or less).

I just downloaded the file and put it at the root level (not in a directory) of my drive. It recognized that the file was there and gave me the option to update.

No. I had the key in, but only the accessories on.

If you are still having problems, take a look at pages 25-27 of the MINI Connected sticky. On page 27 there's is someone using a Mac that was having problems (strangely, I didn't have to extract anything like he did). Earlier, on page 25, there is apparently someone with a 2011 that can't be upgraded because it's an early build!

These posts start in December 2012, if you can't find them by page #. (I'm using the forum app on my iPad, not sure if pages are numbered differently).
