New owner, knows nothing about nav

Just purchased a 09 with nav. The car came with nothing. No nav disk, no connectors and most importantly no manual. What do I need to do to get this thing to work? I have searched and have some ideas, but no answers. To get the nav working, do I just need a disk? If so where do I get one? Do I need to update the mini connect software? Any help wil be appreciated.

My daughter just bought an '09 BMW 328i with nav, but no manual or instructional disc. The BMW Service Manager said the navigation manual can be downloaded on-line. Check it out. MINI may have such information available too.

To get the nav to work, do I just purchase any nav disk? Any special requirements?
