Stock Driver Side Speaker replacement
Hello everyone,
since you guys are so awesome and reply so quick lol, I got another question for you guys, after getting my car from this rip off shop, my driver side speaker keeps on making stupid noises, so I have to replce it, I have the 2003 cooper S. so can I replace it just about any speaker out there ? or it has to be a name brand or what not ? I have an after market base and after market cd player.
also do I have to remove the door panel for the replacement ? thanks in advance.

I think this thread will be exactly what you're looking for:

There's some diagrams and part numbers that the guy from ECS Tuning was nice enough to post for factory speakers.
Also there's a link to some really good instructions about how to remove the door card (inside panel)
I'm not sure if you have stock regular speakers, Harmon Kardon stock upgraded speakers, or aftermarket speakers. -I'm thinking since you have aftermarket head unit.... Who knows what speakers you'll find in there.
