Chinese Aftermarket Navi?
Hey guys,
I stumbled onto this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-...812866725.html
Looks interesting, however from what it looks like it is the 2007+ model, however they say compatible with 2004+ , I even asked several vendors and they all said compatible with my 2006 R53.
Has anyone heard of this?
I previously had a chinese unit like this in an E39 BMW, and was pleasantly surprised with the way it interfaced with the car and the stock appearance.

That website is about 50% fakes/scammers...
Tread VERY carefully IMO.
The sellers will say ANYTHING to make a sale.... Cause once they have your money....you are stuck. So they will lie as needed to make a sale.
That website is a Asian, mostly Chinese version of e-bay/buy it now or Amazon clone...
Do a search on the name.... Mostly bad posts...tales of woe.
Some folks do get lucky, bypassing importers, saving a few $$, but many more get scammed.

On a related note, if you do decide to go this route, under no circumstances should you deal with their escrow. It's an absolute guarantee that they will get your money and you will get nothing in return. I've read lots of horror stories. If you can go through PayPal, then at least you have some protection.
