Bluetooth

Why does Bluetooth work when running GoogleMaps, but not for Pandora for iphone?

I didn't select MiniConnect because I wanted a more retro look on the speedo. When I have GoogleMaps spooling away I can hear the turn by turn directions. The left steering wheel volume control works to adjust the volume. All while my iPhone is not plugged into the port jacks near the gear shifter.

When I have Pandora....it never plays through Bluetooth. Only way is to hardwire the jack.

Why does it work for one app but not the other? What is the solution?

Google maps is using the "headset profile" so it replicates making a phone call. Audio apps like pandora uses the A2DP profile (stereo audio streaming). You wouldn't want to listen to music from the headset profile!

The only solution is to get a BT streamer box to plug into the AUX in jack.
