Hello,

I recently got my 2012 Mini Cooper S. The system screen turns on/off for no reason. Looks like it crashes and restarts with the mini logo on the screen. Most of the time, it does not even start back on. It remains blank for the rest of my journey. After few hours when I start the car, it restarts again, runs for a bit, crashes and restarts.

I called the dealership, they are gonna check it out. But do you guys have any ideas, what could be wrong? Has anyone else experienced something similar? The dealership had performed the mini connected software update, not sure if thats causing the problem? Please help. Thanks

 

Sounds like you have a bad computer. There's a small chance though that it was a bad software update. You could try to update the software yourself. Go herefor instructions and to download the update. It's firmly painless!
