Has anyone successfully retrofitted PDC into a car with Nav and/or MINI Connected and gotten the "radar" display on the screen when in reverse? I'm wondering if the factory-installed system can be retrofitted after the fact and have the same result. Thanks!

Technically, most things can be added, given the right amount of time and money. You would need to replace the rear bumper, add the wiring for the sensors (which is probably not there), and then have the vehicle reprogrammed to recognize everything, among many other things. In the end, it would likely cost thousands of dollars for what originally cost $500 from the factory. There's a lot of "behind the scenes" technology in a MINI that makes adding on missing options difficult or even impossible.

 

Which is why I ended up just replacing the whole car.
