Could someone confirm a couple assumptions for me?

1. An older (2004/2005) HK head unit will work fine in a 2008 car already equipped with HK?

2. There is some difference between head units in an HK equipped car vs a non HK equipped car?

1. Yes, it will work fine.
2. No, there is no difference between the head units on standard vs. HK

 

The only known difference is head units from '02 to '04 don't read MP3 media. You need one from '05 or later for that. Same with the CD changers.
