Navigation & Audio 2004 Head Unit in a 2002 MCS

I had heard that the 2004 HUs had preouts, but you're better off getting an aftermarket HU.
As for the speaker sizes, please learn to use the search function but it's such a simple answer:
Front - 5.25 stock with limited depth. 6.5 will fit. Almost all aftermarket drivers require a half to one inch spacer. Actual depth can be found in another thread.
Rear - 6x9. Very deep and many have been able to seal the area behind the speaker with a volume of about .5 cf.

Did they give you a trade in? or did you have to buy the 04 unit outright?
Need to do teh saem thing.. Have an Aux Input cable, but the car was buitl 8/02

i just had a 2004 HU added to my 02, But now i dont have good signal strength on all radio stations and no stereo on any radio stations. Doens any one have an owners manual on what the function changes are on this unit. It was replacing a 2002 HU under warrantee but didnot get any info with it. Please help
