The Nav woman lies...
I kid you not. I know for a fact I have decent hearing. I am sitting less than 15 feet from an audiometric test booth as I write this. I get used as the "test subject" every few months.
Both my wife and I have heard the nav voice give directions completely opposite to the screen directions. i.e it shows left, she says right.
Not just once, but several times. And no confusion on set up. For instance, the last straw was a two lane country road intersection in the middle of nowhere. No divided highway, just two two lane roads, one dead ending into another. She said "left", line said right. Radio off, we both heard it clearly.
We took it in and had it updated this week. We plan to keep an eye on it for awhile around home. Just to be sure. I would hate to be in a city I didn't know well and given a wrong turn. Or on a freeway and told to exit for a turn I didn't need to make. Late lane changes can be dangerous.
Anybody else heard/seen this? Or maybe I got the only lying hussie.

Nothing new or surprising there. My dad's GPS is a potty-mouthed liar too!
Once, he was driving us to a cousin's graduation in Kansas and the street could only turn left. The GPS said to turn right! Um, turning right would put the car into a huge tree...
My Garmin GPS is a liar too! I once got lost because in an unknown town, it kept diverting me away from the building I was looking for. I gave up and tried driving in the other direction. After 15 minutes, I found it -- NOWHERE near the destination point on the GPS screen! Ugh, I still try to not rely on these silly things too much anyway.

I yak better than I write so I might not have been clear. The nav system has the direction correct. For instance, the white line on the display shows a left turn but the liar, liar, pants on fire woman says "Turn right".
You can't trust her.
