I am installing XM in my MCS and would like to see how the antenna looks installed. Anyone have pics of theirs or descriptions of where you installed it?

Thanks for the photos. I was hoping to not have to install off center. How is reception? I noticed you tucked the end of the XM "tail" into the hatch. Did this effect reception at all?

 

You're pretty much forced to install it off center... this Terk antenna is the smallest they come.

The "tail" is neatly tucked away out of site in the car. This doesn't effect reception at all. I got perfect reception with my XM. It is really amazing and the reception blows away FM.

 

Did you change out the receiver? And if so what kind? Or did you add on to the exsisting? And if so where? Are your steering controls still operating? I'm trying to find someone that installed the PAC system that is posted. How does it work and is it easy to install?

I changed the receiver to the Alpine CDA-7894 as seen below in my MCS:



I also installed the PAC SWI-X and it works well. Took maybe 20 minutes to install.
