Looking for bluetooth solution! Help!!!!
I have a 2006 MC with the stock Harmon Kardon radio. I am currently using a Dice Electronics link with allows me to play my iPod thru the head unit, with a limited display, and it gives me a mini jack to input my Sirius satellite Starmate radio.
The problem I'm having is trying to find an elegant solution that would allow me to use my iPhone 4 thru the head unit. Either via bluetooth, (preferably), or hard lined. I do not want to have to switch something every time I'm listening to the radio and the phone rings!
Frankly, I really don't care about the iPod anymore, I don't use it. Im much more interested in getting my phone to stream thru the head unit and keep the sirius radio, with out having to switch back and forth.
Can anyone make a suggestion, whether its installing a mini jack from Mini, and using some other unit, or what ever.
Local installers are no help!

First suggestion is to take this question to the 1st Gen section. This is the 2nd Gen Section and the radio systems are completely different.
Second it all depends are what you are really trying to accomplish.
What I get from what you said is that you want to Have Sirius thru the radio hard wired. and then use you iPhone via bluetooth for both streaming of music and phone conversations.
Is that right. If so try a Parrot 9200MKI and it will get close to what you want. They also make other units that may integrate better
Or another possibility is to look at www.newministuff.com they have a bunch of aftermarket wiring harnesses that integrate with Parrot bluetooth systems to do what you are looking for.

I have the Parrot ck3000evo I got from Amazon.com in my 2005 R50. I wanted to be able to do 2 things. Make and receive calls with my steering wheel controls and use the feature for voice dialing that is built into the iphone.
This unit does all that. I added a custom wire harness from newministuff.com in the UK and it was all pug and play. Mikey does a great job and has a harness for your car and oem radio.
So now, I can have music playing on radio and if a call comes in, the radio mutes and the call rings thru the stereo speakers. I can answer the call with the button on the steering wheel.
If I want to make a call, I press the same button and the iphone voice command works thru the speakers and I can tell the phone who to call.
Parrot has other units that do even more, so they are worth looking at.

I use a Belkin AirCast: plugs into the 12v accessory socket, and provides a mic that adheres to the dash (or visor, if you'd rather). Bluetooth connected, play tunes/Pandora whatever from the iphone; phone calls mute whatever's playing and use the car speakers. I use Sirius on the iPhone, which works fine wherever there's data connection (so 99%+ of the time for me) and nets one fewer device in the car.
Daily use: hop in the car, press the AirCast to connect, pick music/news/whatever, go.
This is a fairly low tech (and cheap) solution; doesn't control the iphone through the headunit / steering controls. It also has a USB connection to charge the iPhone, if you desire.
