Navigation & Audio quick access presets, do they exist?
quick access presets, do they exist?
Hey guys
I was listening to satellite radio on my 2012 jcw with Nav/connected, when I hit the FM/AM button by mistake. I'm new to the car so I try not to do too much fiddling while driving, and as I travel mostly back roads to my destinations, there's always a curve or deer or something coming. So, I got knocked off of satellite. Hitting it again round robin-ed me to am then FM but never sat which I was listening to. I eventually dug around and found it again, but it was a real PITA. Seems counter to good user interface designs.
I know I may be able to do voice, but I have the top down on occasion which renders voice sketchy. My 135i had these 6 user assignable buttons that could be anything, I had them loaded with the 3 sat channels, 1 FM channel, and one preset to nav me home from wherever I am. I miss this! Any way to get the presets regardless of what mode you may be in?
And I know, I should spend some time with the manual. I'm not sure where it is!

Bumping this to see if anybody knows the answer...
Funny... I had a 135i and that has to be the number 1 issue I have so far.. is no assignable presets like the BMW had. I had several set for satellite presets and one set to navigation night mode. Is there an equivalent?
If not.. is there an easier way to switch the navi from day to night mode?
Also.. while I am at it.. is there any way to see track information easily while I am in navi mode?
