Where can I find the best place to upgrade my mini cooper navi software online with instructions. The software now looks like a dinosaur.

 

Here's the definitive thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...available.html. The procedure is to simply burn a firmware updater CD disc and insert it in the drive.

It will still look like a dinosaur after updating. The visual changes between 2005 and the latest version are very minor. If your Nav still has the original 2005 firmware, the update is worth doing for the auto-dismiss of the warning screen. A perspective view was added but it is worthless because it does not display street names.

 

Thanks row where can I find updated maps? would i burn a cd or dvd for the update firmware? so whats the benefit of updating it?
