BLuetooth & Iphone 4

I just got a 2008 Mini Cooper S - It doesn't say anything on the sheet that it has the factory bluetooth installed - there is a button on the steering wheel - how do I know if it is installed? If not, what do I need to get for my Iphone 4?

As for the steering wheel buttons "all" are added when cruise or a few other packages are added to the car so just because the "phone" button is there is not a true indication of bluetooth.

To check for it press the menu button the speedo. If bluetooth is installed one of the options will be "Phone".

If it is there read the manual on how to set up bluetooth.

If it is Not there then there are many options such as a Parrot unit or adding the OEM but searching and reading here will bring you up to speed on those options.

Schatzy62, I was wondering the same. I just bought my first MINI ('06 MCS) although I have drooled over them from afar for a long time! I have the phone on the wheel.... what menu am I looking for? You said there is a menu button on the speedo... would that be the same one that changes the tripometer and clock funtions?
Thanks,
Rand

randtor,

As your car is a 1st Gen car and this is the 2nd Gen forums you would be better off going to the 1st Gen section to ask questions. There are big differences from 1st gen to 2nd gen in the audio system.
