When you folks have replaced or removed the rear 6 x 9, has anyone taken a depth measurement? I read the entire speaker how-to thread and while gaining much valuable information, I did not find any numbers as to the depth of this area. Once I recall reading there was "a lot" of space, but that's pretty subjective. If no one has this information, I will update this thread with the answer in the next few weeks.

By the way, thanks for helping to create such a good community. I have been on DIYMA for a few years and it's good to be involved with another strong forum now that I have my own Mini.

I purchased a 2011 Pepper White and Black MCS during the Rock the Rivals tour in June where I accompanied a fellow Mini driver (theRedRocket on here). We got to meet a lot of other Mini members, I have only been able to place OrangeCrush so far, but we'll be at MOTD as well as something at the Dragon in mid October.

 

Depth limit at the rear 6x9 location is approx 6".

When I find the time I will be updating the MINI Audio Basics sticky with dimensions for all speaker locations.
