Navigation & Audio R56 Satellite Radio Retrofit
Not really that I've seen... I only see people wiring up a handheld unit to the integrated antenna, but no one is trying to install the module and reprogram the ecu. Has anyone managed to do this?
Sure, the dealer has. lol No, really, the R56 uses a fiber optic ring network for the entertainment bus. To install the factory Sirius you have to add a loop to the ring. All I know is the dealer wants about $900 for the unit, install, and programing... After listening to Sat radio in my wife's new KIA, Eh no thanks... It sounds like crap. In fact It sounds like crap in EVERY car I've listened too. Like playing an Ipod with the EQ set to muddy...

but at any rate there have been a LOT of OEM installs after the car has been delivered. But it is much more expensive than the aftermarket units.
