Multi-Function Wheel "Upgrade"

I did away with the stock head unit a while back, replacing it with a Jensen VM8013HD. It is supposedly compatible with the PAC-SWI adapter to interact with my stock steering wheel controls, but I haven't actually gotten around to doing it yet, which left me wondering, has anyone else tried this before? What sort of problems did you run into? Was it super easy or crazy hard? Any tips would be appreciated.

From what I've read (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127SWIJ...-SWI-JACK.html) it's not exactly plug-n-play, but the easy programming it needs is... easy.

(not supporting Crutchfield in any way, that's just where I got my info from)

I have it and it works fine with my Alpine receiver.
