Does anyone know if the new 2011 Navigation DVD's are out for the on board navigation mini system and if so where is it online? Thanks

I'd like to know if the 2011 update includes the "more colorful" maps like the 2011 MINI navigation maps or the "dark/black background" like the 2009 MINI navigation maps. Gosh I really hate the BLACK map display!!

 

I have a the 2011 Digital Road Map for North America 2-Disc Set. Picked them up from the dealer on Friday. Unfortunately, I don't have my Mini to try them in. Had to leave her at the dealer for some accessories to be installed. I will say that the disc work and look great in my 2006 BMW X5. But I can't wait to get them in the Mini on Thursday.

I got the new update in June. The map data is changed but the display colors are the same old.

Speaking as a professional programmer, it makes good sense to keep the data separate from the programs that manipulate and display it.

It is possible to have some options, in the program, for how to show the data. Microsoft does that a lot, but obviously BMW/MINI decided not to offer that feature.
