Right side trunk ground point?

Hi all,

Looking for grounding points in the rear of the MINI, I see a lot of people are using the common grounding point on the left hand side (as you are looking at the rear of the vehicle) near the hifi amp.

Is there a similar grounding point on the other side of car? I found some references online that mention there should be one...

Just trying to keep my ground run as short as possible without drilling additional holes in the car, lol.

Thanks!

On the right side behind that access panel, there's a little hole in the metal where a plastic 'plug' holds the harness down, I bolted in a grounding block and it's worked perfect after I ground down to the bare metal

Thanks Rogo, I'll check it out. I would like to avoid the long run from the right side of the trunk (where my amp and sub will live) over to the left side to the ground point near the hifi amp. I think that would be about a 3.5 foot run, versus the 12-18 inches I think is normally recommended.

I have my whole rear ripped out right now on a 2007 R56, and yes, there is a common ground plate on the right side of the rear -- basically where the curve starts for the wheel well. I've been impressed/happy with the plethora of ground points on the MINI. I'm not sure why it has so many, but it's a nice plus for us.
