Harmon/Kardon Equalizer Settings - What are you using?

I've had my 2010 S w/ Harmon/Kardon for about 8 months now and still have not found ideal settings for the equalizer to sound clear and crisp without rattling everything in the interior. For reference, I listen mostly to house/trance/dubstep/drum&bass and sometimes hip hop, so mostly music with lots of bass.

Here are my current settings:

Bass: 2
Treble: 3
Balance: 0
Fade: +1/+2 (front)

Basically I'm looking to see what kind of settings you all are using. At this point, if I turn the bass higher than 2, it sounds terrible at high volumes, resonates and rattles the interior. However, if I keep the sound at lower volumes, I dont get the bass response I want.

*I know the interior's of these cars rattle, this is not a complaint about poor build quality, but rather an interest in dialing in my sound system to get the most out of the H/K*

So I ask you to please post up your preference for EQ settings as well as the kind of music you listen to, to help me get my H/K dialed in!

I just left the factory settings. I was rocking out in it the other day and I thought it sounded good!

BASS 3, TREBLE 2, BAL 0, FADE 0...it sounds good, but I agree, still probably not as great as it could sound. I am interested to see what other people have to say.

I listen to everything -- Pop / Hip-hop / Country / Dance (I know that is part of my problem).

Way too much bass for speech and classical. I usually have bass about -6 or even -10 if I'm listening to NPR. Pretty happy with how the HK sounds otherwise, though.

It really depends on the type of music. When Im listening to some House or Progressive Trance I like a little more bass but when its Classical its less bass.
