Anyone have em?

I was thinking about upgrading from my kit 6 Focal to the Kit 7 and putting the 3" midrange up top with the BE tweet.

I just want to get some ideas for fit and finish.

I know there has to be a few who have rebuilt them ...please post some pics

 

Not sure if anyone has done custom A-Pillars as there is zero room behind them. They would stick out rather far if anything more that a 1" diameter by 1/2" thick tweeter were to be installed there. In fact I do not even think that the 3" mid would fit there as the main portion of the A-Pillar cover is not even that wide.

If you were to mold something that came out into the dash area more that might fit a 3" driver but then you have problems with it being so close to the dash and reflections off the dash and also if the air bag goes off there is the problem with that lifting the dash pad when it fires off.

Not trying to sound negative here but with such a small area to work with it is not going to be easy even if it is possible which it may not be.
