Navigation & Audio Which Garmin should I get for my MINI?
If you've got a Garmin that says street names, you might be able to use this free Text-to-Speech editor, which can add a little more character to the voices. The way the Jill voice says "recalculating", I get the feeling the GPS is sighing and rolling its eyes. I've changed the "recalculating" line to "I've got a very bad feeling about this."
1490T--except for the poor "Where Am I?" on interstates and other routes without street addresses. It has hung onto past cross-streets for miles while I have passed numerous other named streets--and not all of them small side streets.
Like the Garmin, but Magellan beats it on this one feature. How can Garmin have such a good product in all other respects and fail on such an important feature. When you're in trouble, this is a feature that counts.
Don't rely on Garmin's "Where Am I?" feature.

Nuvi 765t
I purchased the Nuvi 765t because it has Bluetooth, as SD Slot for additonal memory, FM transmitter to play MP3's and it transmit your directions throught the stereo. The GPS also has all the bells and whistles like lane assist and 3D views. I installed it in the open space under the switch panel on my '02 MCS.

Gives it a more built in look, isn't hanging off the dash inviting someone to steal it and I don't have to deal with sun glare either.
