iPhone hook ups

Hey, I've never posted either but I am wondering what kind of hook up I need for my 2009 S Coupe with my iPhone. I have a place for the iPod but I don't know if will work yet. of course, I'll try and see but most pod/phone connections are different. I love this car!! Thanks/Gracias! Jim

The Doc Connector that goes into the bottom of the iPhone and the iPod are the same and have the same pin connections so that will not be a problem.

The real question here is what you want to do with the iPhone.

If you want to talk on the phone thru the stereo (hands free) then you need bluetooth for that and you do not state if you have that option.

For music playback you will need one of the following but only one.

1. MINI "Y-Cable" (if you are in the US then it should have come with teh car as new, other wise they are about $100.00) This will plug into the USB port if you car has one, if not this cable will not work for you.

2. Doc to 3.5 Mini Plug and that will plug into the AUX Jack in the car.

3. Or some other set of cable to be able to charge the iPhone and play music from it. Search this section of the forums and you will find many different options for this one.
