Hello,

I ordered and installed the MINI Aux port, it's just a cable and a connector on the other side. It works fine for a while and then it just switches to CD and the AUX is disabled from the stereo until I turn the car off and back on.

Standard ground loop problem. The item you have plugged in probably is connected to the cigarette lighter. Here's the most recent thread (of the hundreds that talk about this) that covers the solution:
