06 Mini convertible XM radio install

Just purchased an 06 Mini Cooper convertible for my wife. I want to install XM radio into the car. Any good links or directions would be great. I have seen some stuff online about a Blitzsafe and BMW direct unit...Thoughts?? I also need some ideas for mounting the antenna.

You are posting in the Second Generation forums and you have a First Generation Car. You would be better off posting in the 1st Gen section to get an answer to your question.

Other than that wrong forum thing ... BMW make a Sirius unit, not XM. Expensive and limited ability to display info, but depends how neat you want it.
Your car can have an "AUX INPUT" cable ($40) which then would allow you to buy a generic XM receiver for maybe $50, and install, perhaps in the space under the toggle switches.

The antenna can go right next to the radio antenna on the front edge of the car. I don't have a pic of this, but it's pretty easy to run the antenna wire under the rubber windshield gasket and in, under a door gasket.
