For a while I’ve been trying to get my MP3 player to work with my stereo system and the only solution I’ve come to so far is using an FM tuner to do the job, unfortunately these things sound terrible when compared to a CD player.

A few days ago while I was browsing through the US Mini site I noticed they offer an auxiliary input for the audio system as an option in the interior features. I immediately contacted my Mini dealership here in Mexico City but they carry it as an option and the worst part is that they don’t even know the part number so they can order it to the factory.

I would really appreciate it if some one could give me the part # for the aux input or give me a better alternative for listening to my MP3 player.

The Aux kit part number is 82-11-0-153-367. Works with 10/02 and later build 2003 models and up, with Boost or HK CD head units. Seems it wont work with cassette headunits, and cars with NAV need to have a slight modification made by moving the wiring from the NAV connector (which is plugged into where the AUX needs to go) into the AUX connector so they coexist.
