any one have a problem with there lights diming i have an amp but im not pushing that much power what can i do

i am not really an audio guy but i can tell you from experince with our race car that (not a mini) ..and by seeing all the electrical stuff on the mini that it is possible that th alternator is already being pushed by the various eletrical systes add an amp and a head unit maybe its to much efficency of the components plays a big big role ! i could be wrong try to find out how much draw your system has with and then with out the radio on (when on it must be at a louder volume so you really know ) then you just need to know what the amperage the mini alternator is rated at and that should do it also do that test with ur headlighs on .
