I have replaced my head unit with an Alpine unit and want to use the steering wheel controls. Has anyone been able to hook up the steering wheel controls on a 2007 MINI Cooper with an Alpine head unit? If so how? What adaptor did you use?

I just got my 09 MCS and am getting ready to put the aftermarket
system in. I owned my own car audio shop many years ago (I do
homes now) but still have all my contacts. I have not been able to
find any SWC options for the Mini's as they have gone to a CAN-BUS
system just like BMW. The 02-06's are available but not the 07's on.
PAC or PCI do not make any interfaces.
