2nd Generation iPod Nano and USB?

I searched for a thread on the forum but didn't see anything so I'll start a new thread.

My July'08 MCS has worked flawlessly via USB with a number of 2nd-3rd gen IPODs.

Got a new 4th Gen IPOD Nano Chromatic in Nov'08 and have had a number of connection problems. Specifically:

1. Sync's up but the playlists have nothing in them
2. Will only play the first 6-8 songs before hanging up
3. Will not display artist, genre, ... etc lists

The frequency of problems has seem to be directly proportional to the number of songs on the IPOD.

Comments and solutions appreciated
Cheers

Edit: first try this: check to make sure the gen 4 iPod nano is not set to the "Use as Mass Storage Device" this would cause the problem you are having. as there is a limit to the number of songs that the Mini can see on a mass storage device (i.e. USB Stick)

Check with the dealer to see if there are any software updates available for you car. This will likely correct your problem.
