Perspective view and street names

I might be slow on the uptake....but is there a way to display street names in perspective view?

I just got my Mini yesterday. Was learning the Nav and kept trying to figure out how to get street names with Perspective View. My BMW X3 has it. I figured the Mini Nav would also. So finally gave up, searched NAM and found this thread.
And even on other views, placement of the street name is horrible compared to the Nav in the BMW X3.
Oh well. It is what it is.

I find the split map/arrow screen to be the most useful for guidance. The street name for the next turn is in fairly large type with the arrow. So, just a glance will tell you what street to look for.

I don't think it is a good idea for a driver to use the NAV screen as a map while self-navigating. You would have to take your eyes off the road for too long.
