im taking out my h/k system to replace it. i removed the pass. side panel to remove the 6x9 and amp. what is this box with wires plugged into it? just curious. thanks.

 

Looks like sirius but I could be wrong

 

It's not a SIRIUS receiver (at least not compared to the OEM ones I've seen - and I've owned 2 of them).

I am pretty sure (not 100% though) that it is the "diversity antenna" junction box. You'll want to keep it for continued AM/FM performance!

 

thanks for the info. i wasnt sure if i should remove it or not. i want to get rid of all the h/k stuff (wiring,brackets) that i wont need with my aftermarket system.
