Hi All,

I currently own a 2006 MINI with h/k and Nav. I installed the Blitzsafe XM Direct adapter to get XM in my headunit and it's been working great for 3+ years.

I'm just about ready to trade in my '06 for an '09 and was wondering if anyone knows whether the new '09 MINI's can get XM like this, or will I have to switch to Sirius instead? I'm aware of the XM/Sirius merger, but it's doubtful that the MINI headunits will be compatible with the new "merged" programming.

BTW, any pointers to those of us migrating from the previous gen to the new current gen MINI's?

Nope.. different audio bus on the R56. Just get Sirius if you want integrated Sat radio or wait until after October 9 2008 when they finally announce the "Best of Each" programming.
