Any wire that ONLY gets power with ignition is ok to use. A voltometer will help you with this. Check some wires to make sure they don't have power with car off. Then check them again with car on/ignition to accessory 2+.

Hooking up an amp to an ignition line is fine, but if you REALLY want the amp to turn on and off with the radio, there is something made by AAMP of America that plugs in line with your RCA's and when it detects signal will send 12 volts to turn on the amp. I believe it's like a $10 part.
