POOF! My USB and Bluetooth is Gone!

My baby MINI just lost its first bluetooth!

I'm 5 days into my new Clubman S. The iPod has been working fine with the Y connector. Yesterday, I bought a new phone (RAZR2 V9m) and sucessfully paired it to the car with full integration incuding the phonebook. Even got the voice to work after realizing that the proper command is "SAVE" rather than "STORE" as set forth in the MINI documentation.

Everything was working fine at lunch today when I took a co-worker to lunch. Phone was Bluetoothed, listened to the iPod during the whole drive.

I come out to my car after work, but no Bluetooth and no USB/AUX. The car does not acknowledge either the phone or the iPod. I get nothing when I try to press the radio buttons for the phone and the iPod (which now reads USB).

Any ideas as to what could have happened. I am going to call the service department tomorrow morning, but wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this problem.

(yes, I did disconnect everything, turn off car, turn off phone, disconnect and turn off iPod. I also tried to play a previously played memory stick in the USB, but nuttin. The car doesnt recognize anything plugged into the USB or the Aux.)

Thanks, Rich

False alarm!

Apparently his BlueTooth was only loose!

For what ever reason, I let the MINIPOOPER sit for a few hours and all is back to normal.
I'm gonna keep an eye on him, though!

Don't know where you are, but heat and sitting in a (closed) car all day can't be good either....

There is one of two things probably wrong with you clubbie.

1. there is a loose connection to the ULF module that is being affected by heat or bouncing

2. The ULF module is being affected internally by the heat.

The phone is controled by the ULF module and the USB and Aux input are feed directly into this module for processing and storage information of USB deivces.

If you continue to have problems with it see you SA about it and it replaced.

Thanks for the heads-up, schatzy! I'm going to talk to the Service Manager tomorrow. I know I have to bring it in to get the mis-matched armrest replacement, so I will have them ready to check that too.
