Anyone know if the standard speakers for the non-HK headunit are the same with other years? and what would front speakers cost from a dealer for a 2003 MINI Cooper S? I really dont want to go nuts with money to replace all of them, but I do have what sounds like a blown speaker on the front passenger side door.

 

IIRC, you can replace the non-HK speakers with any normal speaker. You'll likely get a far better deal on non-OEM speakers. Some people here should have standard speakers lying around if they haven't tossed them yet.

 

I found one from the dealer for $38, so went that route. I dont go bananas for stereo equipment, I just wanted to hear the songs at a normal low volume. The MINI system will suffice, I just wish I could get an integrated Sirius satellite to the stereo without breaking the bank. I liked the integrated Sirius I had in my 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
